We are so blessed to have such wonderful Easter traditions, and to get to spend it with family. Every year since I was born and even before that my family has attended an outdoor sunrise service at a local cemetery, and even though the service was held inside this year due to the good chance of rain we were there. Even though we are all grown and have homes of our own we are always there. After the service we all go out to breakfast to start the never ending feast that is to continue throughout the day. After breakfast we head home to rest, get dressed in our Easter clothes, pack up and head out to celebrate with me father's side of the family for lunch, yes more food, and dessert. After you have stuffed yourself there your not done yet because we also have to go celebrate with my mother's side of the family for dinner, and of course dessert. But I wouldn't change it, not for anything, it's how it has always been, and hopefully will be for years to come. The kids come home sugared up, and tired, but happy and most of all, ready for bed.
The sun peaked out for a bit this afternoon,
and the kids didn't miss the opportunity to enjoy it.
